The Stallion

Look at his tail! The length and thickness epitomize the fertility very well.

To breed up new babies, this could be the perfect male.

He impregantes the females ones better than other males I've ever seen.
Behind all male dominant character, he has innocent eyes.
I like the way his carapace is convexed.

Her tail has been bealed but still wish it would grow back a bit longer...

She's grown recognizably. One proof is that she used to pass through the holes on the sides of the log, now she can't. One day, she got stuck in there, so my mother pull her out.
I always like her long carapace. If not her tail was nipped off, it would've been perfectly balancedly slim feature.
She is very tamed and always very curious.
I'm fond of her because she is very feminine.
I always feel a deep affection for her. because her mildness incurred her tail nipped off more by constantly courting strong a male than other females.

A Bachelor

He's doing fine but looks little bit lonely.
When I have proper setting for breeding, he will play the role as a stallion.

Great team is forming

She is hardly climbing up on the log.
She is just swimming around most of the time.
Maybe, I need to study about that behavior little bit.

Getting approved by the first-timers

Larry is so generous as to shield young little cuttie.
Hmm, do you remember how little Dennis was?
Now, I can see he's grown a bit.
Now, he's got younger siblings to care for.
Earvin is still shy.
That's his nature.
But it's time to cuddle his little sibling if she leans on you like that affectionate way.
It's an honor for a rookie to be in the middle on the same frame with two marquee superstars.
The Rookie is definitely being accepted.

Rookie Sensations

The Cooter seems funnily obsessed with basking, look at her posture, she tries to bask wherever she goes, ha-ha.
They are making very good duo for their similarity in size and exuberance.
Diamondback Terapin staring through the tank, I haven't seen any turtle species so curious of the surroundings since Reeve's Turtles.
It pretty much often looks as if they weren't new-comers at all because both of them seem to be everywhere, swimming around.
After playful a daytime, I want her to sleep tight, warm and dried.
Now, it's time for me to tuck her inside some towels.
She is so used to human.
You can notice even when immediately put out of the tank, she doesn't hide inside the shell, just stretch out like that.

She even has been eating well.
Before she came to me, she would always been given Gammarus.
At my home, I tried a couple of different pellets even some beef slices.
She only eats Gammarus.
It is my homework to make her get used to other foods, not just Gammarus.

A couple of days later, she must've felt really comfortable.
She started digging in dried anchovies, beef.

Oops, once Yellow-bellied Cooter tasted beef, dried anchovies and gammarus, she started ignoring regular pellets.

I don't want them being too particular about foods.

I just would try different foods and hope they'll like it.

An Exuberant Rookie

Since I saw him, I was toying with the idea of purchasing him.
Because when I heard the price, it was relatively affordable for a Diamondback Terrapin of the size.
However, the price still was steep, compared with other semi-aquatic turtles.
One day, I felt that it wasn't that bad deal because she was already grown a little but I was being offered almost a-hatchling-price.
Finally, I decided to adopt her.
One thing I noticed about Diamondback Terrapin was that they must be really active in the water.
Their paws are more like webfeet of sea turtles.
This one I bought is Nothern Diamondback Terrapin.
In Korea, most of imported Diamondback Terrapins are Nothern because they are most common and lowest in price value.
She so active, when I release her in a room, she don't stop moving around.
She was little bit ill when I adopted, so I'm letting her rest warm and dried at night.
